A client of mine recently remarked that when he and his family moved to Culver City five years ago, nobody of his family or friends had ever heard of Culver City. He had just moved to Culver City from Whittier. Now, five years later, his friends and family think that Culver City is a beach city. How funny. We are so close to the beach, 5 or 6 miles at most. The 405 freeway just nicks our city, we are mostly east of the freeway.

We are so close to the ocean, and anybody who is a surfer can relate to the glass wall on these phenomenal waves in Hawaii. This video features the GoPro HD Hero camera. (Kalani Robb - Slow Motion Pipeline.) What a great camera! What a great sport!

Cameo Woods condo community, Culver City adjacent

I just sold a lovely 900 sq ft condo in Cameo Woods, a condominium complex in Los Angeles CA 90016. The list price was an unbelievable $212,000. The unit has original wood floors, 2 bedrooms, a bath and a half, and a laundry. The kitchen and adjoining dining area are a good size. One very unique feature in this complex is that each condo has its very own one car garage.

A very charming feature is that the complex is wide open with park like grassy areas and 60 year old maple trees. The security to get into the community is really intense if you are a visitor. The guards at the gate require a drivers license, and the unit number that you are visiting.

The complex is right next to Culver City on Jefferson Blvd and Kinston. A very large public park separates Cameo Woods from Culver City. The park has stairs, with varying stair heights. We plan to test ultra-high speed broadband networks in one or more trial locations across the country. Our networks will deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today, over 1 gigabit per second, fiber-to-the-home connections. We'll offer service at a competitive price to at least 50,000 and potentially up to 500,000 people.

From now until March 26th, we're asking interested municipalities to provide us with information about their communities through a Request for information (RFI), which we'll use to determine where to build our network.
